There are several things to schedule when you decide to sell your home. Here is the order we most typically see. 

  1. Pre-Listing Clean – As close as possible before your photos. 

  2. Window Cleaning – If needed. (Could be before or after Sparklean)

  3. Carpet Cleaning – (Preferably after Sparklean) 

  4. Real Estate Photos – Your realtor will have the best referral for your area

  5. Market Listing! 



PRE - LISTING CLEAN

Allowing our cleaners to give your home a deep clean helps to ensure you give the best first impression to potential buyers.  Here is a list of all of the cleaning tasks that we’ll tackle in your home.

Kitchen

-Clean the exterior of all the kitchen cabinets, outside of appliances, and the inside of the microwave

-Clean any windows or mirrors

-Clean the kitchen counter and sink

-Clean the backsplash throughout the kitchen

-Vacuum kitchen floor and edges

-Dust any blinds, light fixtures, décor and clean ceiling fan

-Hand wash or wet mop kitchen floor. Making sure to get underneath cabinets

Bathrooms

-Clean the exterior of all the bathroom cabinets

-Dust ledges, door frames, pictures, light fixtures and décor 

-Vacuum ceiling vent

-Clean all walls in the bathroom, especially around the toilet

-Clean inside, outside and behind the toilet

-Clean the inside of the tub or shower including any doors

-Clean the backsplash in the bathrooms

-Clean any mirrors and windows panes

-Clean sink, faucet and countertop

-Clean all of the doors and door handles in the bathrooms

-Clean all baseboards in the bathrooms

-Vacuum and hand wash every inch of bathroom floor. 

Common Rooms and Bedrooms and Hallways

-Dust ceiling fans

-Dust wood blinds

-Remove all cobwebs

-Wet wipe all of the switch plates throughout the home

-Spot check windows for large marks

-Dust and wet wipe window sills throughout the house

-Vacuum the accessible baseboards

-Dust any reachable light fixtures 

-Vacuum couches and straighten pillows and blankets

-Dust furniture and woodwork throughout the home. 

-Vacuum under all furniture that can be reached with a standard extension tube.

-Vacuum all accessible hard and carpeted surfaces including edges and baseboards

-Wash all hard surfaces

PRE - CLOSING CLEAN

Once the home is vacant and before closing is the best time to do a final clean. Generally this takes less time than the Pre-Listing Clean and focuses more on “hidden” things. Such as inside of cupboards, closets and appliances as well as the areas of floor which are now accessible. 

The Pre-Closing Cleaning includes any touch-up needed of all the items in the Pre-Listing Clean, as well as cleaning of all the items listed below. Items listed below can be added to the Pre-Listing Cleaning if you wish. 

-Clean the interior of all empty kitchen cabinets and drawers

-Clean the inside of the refrigerator and freezer (must be empty and turned off) 

-Clean the inside of the oven

-Clean all shelves in closets

-Clean outside of all basement/utility room appliances

-Clean the interior of all bathroom cabinets and drawers

-Vacuum and wash all floors including edges and baseboards

-Ensure none of your personal belongings are left behind


LOGISTICS

We strive to make this process as pain free as possible! We know you have a lot of other things to do. 

Information we need from you:

-Your address

-How will we access the home? Lockbox? Garage code? Or will you be home?

-Pre-Listing or Pre-Closing service choice? 

-When are your photos/closing scheduled? 

-Do you have a window cleaner or carpet cleaner scheduled and when? 

Service Area, Pricing and Payments: 

-We generally work within the 494/694 loop and within about 7 miles north of 694. Please call to ask if your location is within our area. We are happy to consider any location on a case by case basis. 

-We charge $60/hr/person + sales tax

-There may be an additional $5/hr/person if scheduled “last minute” (within 7 business days of the cleaning) 

-A 50% Deposit is due before service to hold your appointment

-Full payment is due no later than 10 days after your cleaning

-Invoices are sent via email 

-We schedule with a 5 hour minimum, and 1 hr increments following the first 5 hours. 

-Payments are easily made electronically

-We accept all major credit cards

There are a few things we don’t clean

-Small metal or plastic blinds

-unfinished basements

-fireplaces/ashes

-chandeliers or high windows

-pet stains

-smoke remediation

-mold removal in caulk or drywall 

-carpet shampooing

-trash removal from the property 

-vacant rental properties unless approved by Sparklean’s owner
