Frequently Asked Questions

 

Clock in

-Use the Zen Maid app to clock in/out at every house. (with GPS enabled)

-Our standard definition for when exactly to clock in/out is outside of the car door handles either ready to go into the house or when you get back to your car


Schedules

-Will appear in Zen Maid. These are written weekly about 2 weeks in advance

-Make sure to check your schedule daily. Refresh your screen to see changes

-You will not always get notifications when the schedule has been changed

 

Request Offs

-Enter Request Offs by emailing the manager at Schedules@sparkleanmn.com

-Must be at least 3 weeks in advance

 

Call-ins

-Use the group chat on GroupMe with you and the managers.

-You are allowed one “absence” in a 60 day period.

-The second absence in 60 days will result in a verbal warning.

-Three days absent in 60 days will result in a written warning.

-Four days absent in 60 days will result in probation or termination.

 

Paychecks

-Paychecks are available in the office every other Friday. 

Please watch your email soon after being hired so that you know how to access your online paystub. 

 

Driving

-You will be expected to drive to the client homes every day.

-You will be expected to drive to the office at least once per day, either in the morning or at the end of your day. So you’ll be either picking up supplies or dropping off.

Mileage

- You will be expected to track all of your business mileage.

- You start tracking mileage when you clock into non-cleaning time for the day, and you stop tracking mileage when you clock out of non-cleaning time.

- You may use a trip odometer to track your miles by zeroing it when you clock into non-cleaning time, and recording the total miles when you clock out of non-cleaning time.

- Mileage is due every other Friday (the Friday that isn’t payday).

- Any mileage that isn’t sent in before 6pm the following Monday won’t be put onto that paycheck but may be put onto the next for you.

- A single reminder will be sent in the All Staff group chat on the Friday that mileage is due.

 

Warnings

-Two written warnings for any reason may result in immediate termination

-A break of trust in regards to clients and/or sensitive information will result in immediate termination, regardless of the number of prior warnings

 

Punctuality

-If traffic is slowing you down, let your lead cleaner/partner know.

-Arriving more than 5 minutes late may result in a verbal and/or written warning


Clients Notes

-All client notes will be in the Zen Maid event and everyone scheduled has access

-This is where you will find lockbox/garage code and specifics about the house so make sure to read it frequently

-Any information that should be added to a client’s event can be added in the notes section at the bottom the event page

 

Preparation

-Please make certain that you have enough gas for your car and food for the day before the work day starts

-Only a 5 minute break is allowed between houses besides drive time.

-The lead cleaner will let you know when the best time is to take a 15 minute lunch break. Each day will be slightly different depending on the scheduled houses.

 

Office

-If the main door is locked then we have a lockbox in the mailbox outside, code is 0202

-If main door to our office is locked then use your code to unlock.

-Make sure all lights are off and our door is shut and locked when you leave for cleaning and, also when you leave at the end of the day.

-Make sure laundry is started at the end of the day, 2 loads per machine.

 

Uniforms

-After two months of employment 4 shirts and 1 sweatshirt will be provided to you.

-Please make sure to wear good quality shoes that will support your feet all day.

-Please wear comfortable pants or shorts that are professional and modest enough to go to your grandma’s house. 😊

-Please bring a clean pair of shoes to clean in.
